PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THIS EMAIL IN ITS ENTIRETY REGARDING PARKING AND TRAFFIC When school resumes in January there are two major road construction projects that will affect traffic and parking at Castilleja. Here are the parking and alternate route instructions to campus: One of the major projects is a water main replacement on Kingsley between Alma and Emerson. This project is expected to last up to a month. This will affect those who use Kingsley via Alma. If traveling south on Alma use Lincoln to Waverley. If traveling north on Alma use Churchill to Waverly. The City of Palo Alto will be performing sewer upgrades on Emerson and Kellogg. During the construction there will be limited parking and access on those streets. Morning drop off and afternoon pickup will be relatively unaffected. During this time street parking will be very much affected on both Emerson and Kellogg.
From 1/4/2016 to 1/8/2016 there will not be any street parking available on Emerson. From 1/11/2016 to 1/15/2016 there will not be any street parking available on Kellogg.
Employees that drive to campus are asked to park in the employee parking locations on campus or in other approved locations, preferably around Gamble Gardens. Please avoid parking on Emerson or Kellogg from 1/4 to 1/15. Students that drive to campus will be able to park on Kellogg on the campus side of the street 1/4 to 1/8. The following week students will be able to park on Emerson on the campus side of the street 1/11 to 1/15. Please review the Parking Map for approved parking locations. The Senior parking lot is reserved for senior student parking only. Parents that drive to campus and park must use the available visitor parking spaces in the admin lot or park on the street at Gamble Gardens. Do not park on the curbside around campus. During this time of the year plans are subject to change due to weather. I will communicate any changes that occur as soon as I receive them. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. |
