Sports Medicine
Athletic training is practiced by athletic trainers, health
care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity
and participation of patients and clients. Athletic training
encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency,
acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional
limitations, and disabilities.
Heidi Hueber has worked with athletes at various high schools on the Peninsula since 1992. She continues to work with the development of athletes and treating their injuries . Nationally, Heidi has been on the sports medicine staff at USA Volleyball Junior Olympic Tournaments and USA Womens’ Junior National Water Polo team.
A native of California, Heidi has her BA in Physical Education and a MA in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Science, both from San Francisco State. She is a National Athletic Trainers’ Association Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) , a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
