The Castilleja Gators recently concluded another exciting and successful season of sports, sending two teams to the CCS Championships and posting up incredible statistics.
The Central Coast Section recently announced the recipients of the 2013 Spring Season Scholastic Championship Teams and Castilleja grabbed top honors across the board.
The Castilleja Varsity Swim Team came out on fire this weekend at the CCS Championships, piecing together one of their most exciting performances ever. Heidi Katter won the CCS Finals in the 100 Breaststroke in a time of 1:02.13, just 0.23 off the CCS Record!
In just his third year as head coach of the Harvard women's water polo team, Ted Minnis and the Crimson will be involved in the 2013 NCAA Championships. That's quite a step up from his days of coaching the girls' team at Castilleja, where Minnis had his squad battling for Central Coast Section Division II honors year in and out.
Castilleja Varsity Lacrosse faced off against the Irish of Sacred Heart Cathedral and dominated in a big way. The Gators moved the ball well and shut the Irish down on defense. A total of eight different players scored for the Gators with Lou Biffar leadding the way with five goals.
