Castilleja School, one of the preeminent girls’ schools in the country, is committed to making its education available to more girls while being a good neighbor. In support of these dual purposes, on June 30, Castilleja submitted its application for a new Conditional Use Permit (CUP). The proposal requests an enrollment cap of 540 students with implementation of a heightened Transportation Demand Management program and construction of a Master Plan that are responsive to neighbor concerns.
Though we have been working on this for years, we have only just begun the formal application process. Once the plans are fully reviewed by the City of Palo Alto Planning Department there will be ample opportunity for additional public input at hearings in front of the Planning & Transportation Commission, Architectural Review Board, and Palo Alto City Council.
