Two to three hobbies I have outside of school are rhythmic gymnastics, piano, and reading good books. At Castilleja, I love to take many opportunities, mostly STEM related. I've participate in MAGIC (More Active Girls In Computing) and a program called Girls Who Code. I've also done math competitions at Castilleja like AMC and Purple Comet.

While my academics are my main commitment at Castilleja, I am also committed to a number of clubs. From attending debates with Model UN, to teaching science to children at the Boys and Girls Club (and continuing over Zoom!), to taking on a leadership position at the civil discourse and news literacy focused Act Now, clubs have been a highlight of my Casti experience. I love dabbling in new areas and meeting different members of the Casti community, which clubs have allowed me to do easily.

Castilleja is a place that begets stories. It encourages its students to become multi-dimensional and find wonder in challenging the difficult. In my time at Castilleja, I’ve been able to find intersectionality among my interests in architecture, biology, and journalism because of its rich communities that have supported me every step of the way. I’ve become a writer, debater, artist, athlete, friend, and sister, but most importantly, I became a Castilleja student. If you have any questions about life at school, transitioning as a new nine, finding your passion, and more, I’m here for you! Please don’t hesitate to reach out <3
