Tennis

Kirsten Gray has been playing competitive tennis since she was 12 years old. She played for her high school team before going on to play college tennis at Duke University. During her college summers, she coached youth tennis camps in the state of New Jersey. In the Fall of 2018, Kirsten was the assistant tennis coach for the JV Girls Tennis Team at Menlo School. She is grateful for the friendships and opportunities that tennis has provided for her over the years.

Lee Safran has been involved in some aspect of tennis for most of her life. She started playing on the national junior tennis circuit at the age of 11 and received a full scholarship to Duke University to compete for the Blue Devils, captaining the team her senior year to the ACC Championship title and a top 16 NCAA finish. After graduating college, she received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Columbia University and has worked as a PT ever since. She has taught tennis in numerous settings including summer camps, private lessons, clinics, and guided her two sons to college tennis careers at universities on the East Coast. She is excited to bring her knowledge, enthusiasm, and love of the game to the Castilleja team.
